| Journey detail | National Express coach | Train via London | Bus4U private minibus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pick-up point | Cardiff coach station, rather than your door. | Your departure railway station; you need to get there with your bags. | Your address in Cardiff or South Wales. |
| Changes | Direct coach services with stops at Newport and Bristol; fastest about 2 hours 50 minutes, with other journeys taking longer. | Change at Reading or London Paddington, then take an onward service to Heathrow. | No changes or scheduled stops, unless you want a comfort break; around 2.5 to 3 hours depending on traffic and pickup point. |
| Luggage | Luggage limits apply; check the operator’s allowance before booking. | You carry your bags through stations and between services. | Room for one large case per person plus hand luggage; tell us about extra items. |
| Best for | Solo travellers happy to use a scheduled service. | Travellers who prefer rail and are comfortable with station changes. | Families and groups of 5+ who want to travel together from their door. |
